52 participants have been awarded in Northmacedonia by Minister Liminski

On the 20.03.2023 the final event ceremony was conducted. The event was followed by 52 Grant holders from the state universities in Macedonia, the delegation of State Chancellery of North Rhine-Westphalia, professors, employers and officials from national Ministries and institutions. Alltogether about 91 participants attended the venue.

H.E.Nathanael Liminski, Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Head of the NRW State Chancellery, stated that in his one day intensive stay in Skopje, on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of the partnership between North Rhine-Westphalia and North Macedonia, he had opportunity to meet Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign affairs, representatives of Business community, Civil Society Organisations and other stakeholders. Minister Liminski expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation so far with the assurance that it will intensify both politically and economically, especially with the already established business cooperation and the companies that are already successfully working in North Macedonia. He particularly emphasized his satisfaction to wrap up his official visit of the country with the WUS Handover Certificates Ceremony with the Young Professionals. He considers that the project for the young students, is the key in their profiling as professionals in the future, and is excellent  transfer of experience to North Macedonia and bridge for cooperation between the economies of the two countries.

Ms.Razmena Chekic-Durovik, State secretary in the Ministry of Economy welcomed the excellent cooperation with the largest German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, underling that the economic cooperation has a significant share in the overall economic cooperation with FR Germany. She noted that this intensive program cooperation with North Rhine-Westphalia is of particular importance for the modernization of domestic economic structures, to resist migration pressure.

H.E Otto Graf Deputy Ambassador of Germany in North Macedonia,reaffirmed the support for speeding up the negotiations of our country with the European Union so that North Macedonia could start opening chapters in the process of negotiations with the European Union. He also spoke about the German investments in North Macedonia that are in an upward trend with an emphasis on the presence of companies such as Gersheimer, Kostal Group Kromberg and Schubert on Macedonian market.

Dimitar Kaljoshevski Project Coordinator, on behalf of the young graduates expressed the appreciation for financial support of the North Rhine-Westphalia and from German  tax payers invested in the future professionals. In the current global economic crisis, that make responsibility of interns even bigger.

Nikola Majstorovski Intern at Marquardt, sheared his successful story and how he found his internship and with support of WUS programme became a full time employee of the Marquardt company.

Handover Certificate ceremony was done by Dr. Kambiz Ghawami, Minister Nathaniel Liminski HE Otto Graf and State Secretary Razmena Chekic-Durovik. Young Professionals were called out in groups of 10 to receive the certificate. Every participant that got a certificate had the chance to get a group pictures with the Delegation.

After providing the young graduates with the certificates Doctor Martina Janeva was called out to close the ceremony. In her speech she mentioned the importance of healthcare in Macedonia and how much it meant for the students that come out of that sector to get such support. She also gave words of praise on behalf of all medical students from the faculty UGD Shtip.

Dr. Julia Boger, Project advisor opened the event by thanking to all involved parties in this first year of Career Transition Support Programme in North Macedonia, followed with huge collaborative and coordination efforts from all relevant stakeholders. The Ceremony was followed by networking event.
