Development cooperation

The aims of Ce.L.I.M. are to promote self-development and self-reliance among the poor of African and Eastern European Countries and to raise awareness in Italy about the problems related with development. Ce.L.I.M. pursues its main objective by implementing development projects in the South of the World and in Eastern Europe for the benefit of poor people in collaboration with local NGOs, churches and government authorities, usually through the service of Italian volunteers.

Africa Groups of Sweden is a solidarity organisation with focus on southern Africa. We are engaged in development work, including financial support and development workers, in Angola, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. An important part of our work takes place in Sweden. One of our main tasks is advocacy work to make Sweden in the lead for fair economic politics towards the third world. We inform about the situation in southern Africa together with African visitors, seminars, exhibitions, study circles, books and our monthly magazine "Södra Afrika".

As Development Education Centre we aim to raise awareness of peace and environment related issues through information and education.

For more than 25 years Spor Media has been engaged in international cooperation and especially in development education related to culture and media. Spor has produced and distributed various films and documentaries as well as web-based educational materials about social, political and cultural issues in Latin America, Africa and Asia to pupils and teachers in Danish schools and informal educational settings. In collaboration with young cultural groups from the Global South Spor Media is organizing cultural activities for students at all levels of the educational system , especially in rural areas where cultural exchange and Global Education are not  often on the agenda.
