Inter-/multiculturalism

We are a publishing house consisting of teachers publishing for teachers with the objective of helping with problems concerning school and youth work, e.g.:

• Implementing curricula into everyday teaching. With concise and well organised material for further education, practical experience and training in methodology, we hope to provide complementary information     that is not covered by traditional school-books
• Excessive workload: By providing school material that can be implemented instantly, we try to make sure teaching and engaging in youth work remains feasible
• Problems affecting schools from the outside, like violence or lack of prospects

We develop feasible concepts for the benefit of all those involved.

Students from over 120 different nations, aged 16 to 19, selected exclusively on the basis of aptitude (talent, commitment, motivation), live and learn together at one of the thirteen United World Colleges for the last two school years until they graduate from high school. The colleges are located in Wales, Norway, Italy, USA, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, the Netherlands, Swaziland, Venezuela, Costa Rica and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The RAA supports young and adult multipliers through further education and training as well as the development and dissemination of information and working materials. The RAA initiates, advises and accompanies projects and processes which

• focus on intercultural and democratic learning and action
• communicating strategies for action against right-wing extremism and xenophobia
• Connecting culturally and structurally separate worlds of young people's lives and experiences and shaping transitions.
• Enable children and young people to participate, strengthen their own initiative, creativity and responsibility and open up spaces for them to develop and implement their own ideas.

Children's aid Organization with focus areas on education und intercultural cooperation. Programs und Projects in Switzerland, Africa, Central America and Southeast Europe.

Since 2012, InterCultur has been offering seminars, trainings and events for organisations, companies, educational institutions and individuals who have a need and interest in developing their understanding of other cultures and improving the way they deal with cultural differences. The basis of our intercultural work and our seminar units is experiential learning. As a subsidiary of AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V., InterCultur is part of one of the oldest and largest organisations for intercultural exchange in the world. Over 70 years of experience in the implementation of exchange programmes are the basis of our competence in the pedagogical accompaniment of intercultural experiences and situations as well as intercultural qualification. InterCultur runs educational events and trainings, for young people and for adults, with the aim of acquiring and/or expanding the participants' intercultural competence. InterCultur creates social impact through intercultural learning through seminars and encounter approaches. InterCultur offers intercultural training and counselling for people who cannot be reached through AFS programmes. InterCultur is an accredited organiser of intercultural training and educational programmes by the quality assessment of Weiterbildung Hamburg e.V. and the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Thuringia. Our Intercultural Trainer Academy training is recognised throughout Germany for educational leave. InterCultur facilitates lively, authentic trainings with interactive methods by experienced trainers who provide learning and refexion opportunities for the target groups.
